Donkey Kong Country is a game that has 39 levels and each level has a unique theme as well as various activities like where you can drive mine carts, swing through vines, or move in water. Just like any other games, you lose a life when you get hit by an enemy or you fall off. To go through the game and defeating your opponent, you must perform different stunts like doing a jump, throwing barrels, or even getting help from animals.

You can play this game alone in a single-player game or you can have someone else to play with in a two-player game and this comes in two versions. These are the team and the contest two-player games. In team two-player games you play together to be able to defeat the enemy while in contest two-player game, you get to compete against the other player and this is done through playing each level as fast as possible.
